Sterilization and CSSD Management
- Principles of Asepsis and Disinfection.
- Operation of Sterilizers (Autoclave) and validation methods.
- Management of the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) workflow.
- Handling and disposal of biomedical waste according to regulations.
Simulation and Internship

Prerequisite Qualifications
A foundational knowledge in biology and chemistry is highly advantageous for understanding clinical context.
- High School (10+2) qualification or equivalent.
- Science Stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) is preferred.
- Aptitude assessment focusing on communication and manual dexterity.
NSQF Skill Progression
The BVoc allows for vertical mobility, certifying skills year-on-year.
- Year 1: Diploma in OT Assistant (NSQF Level 5).
- Year 2: Advanced Diploma in Surgical Technology (NSQF Level 6).
- Year 3: BVoc Degree in OT Technology (NSQF Level 7).
